Quick & Easy to Make: Whipping up creamy jalapeno sauce is a breeze. With simple ingredients and minimal preparation, it's a quick-fix solution to enhance the flavor of your meals without spending too much time in the kitchen.

Customizable Heat: You have control over the heat level. Adjust the number of jalapenos or remove the seeds to tailor the spiciness according to your preference. It's a sauce that can cater to both spice enthusiasts and those who prefer a milder kick.

    Ingredients

The blend of spicy jalapenos, cool sour cream, and fresh cilantro showcases a fusion of textures and tastes in this jalapeno dipping sauce. With a touch of garlic and a splash of lime juice, this sauce not only adds a kick to your favorite meals but also demonstrates the art of balancing heat and creaminess.

Ingredients need to make a creamy jalapeno sauce recipe: sour cream, jalapeno, cilantro, garlic, lime, and olive oil.
    • Sour Cream adds a creamy and tangy base to the sauce. It also provides a cooling contrast to the heat of the jalapenos. This jalapeno sour cream dip has a luscious texture.
    • Jalapeno peppers infuse the sauce with a spicy kick, bringing a bold and vibrant flavor to the condiment. If you are a jalapeno lover, make my jalapeno simple syrup to add to drinks and cocktails or jalapeno chimichurri for grilled meats.
    • Cilantro adds a fresh and herbaceous element, enhancing the overall flavor profile of this jalapeno sauce. It also gives this green jalapeno sauce recipe it's color.
    • Garlic provides depth and savory undertones to the sauce.
    • Lime juice offers a zesty and citrusy brightness that balances the richness of the creamy base. Jalapeno lime sauce is refreshing and vibrant.
    • Olive oil imparts a smooth and velvety texture to the sauce.

    Step by Step Instructions

Creamy jalapeno sauce is quick to make and versatile to use, it's a must-have in your culinary repertoire.

Sour cream, cilantro, a chopped jalapeno, two garlic cloves, lime juice, olive oil, and salt are in a small food processor.

Step 1: Prep the jalapeno by cutting off the steam and slicing down the center of the pepper. For a milder flavor, remove jalapeno rib and seeds using a knife or scooping them out with a spoon.

To a small food processor, add jalapeno, sour cream, cilantro, garlic cloves, lime juice, olive oil, and salt.

All ingredients are combined and blended in the food processor making a creamy sauce.

Step 2: Pulse ingredients in the food processor until the desired consistency has been reached. Taste and adjust seasonings, if needed.

Pour sauce into a bowl and serve as a dip or creamy hot sauce for Tex-Mex dishes. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.

    Serving Suggestions

Use as a jalapeno taco sauce for air fryer fish tacos or drizzle over this easy mahi mahi recipe.

Drizzle creamy jalapeno dressing over a ground beef taco salad for a spicy kick.

Use as a marinade for chicken. Coat chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before grilling.

    Storage

Store sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. Consume within 4 days for the best quality.

I do not recommend freezing this dip, or any sour cream based dips, because the texture may change upon thawing.
