Elevate a variety of dishes with homemade creamy jalapeno sauce. Ideal as a dip, dressing, or taco sauce, jalapeno cream sauce is a condiment that is easy to make in a few minutes using simple ingredients.
Prepare the jalapeno by cutting off the stem and slicing it down the center.
In a small food processor, combine all ingredients. Blend ingredients until the desired consistency is reached. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
Transfer the sauce into a bowl to serve. Any leftover sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for later use.
Notes
Customize the heat level to your liking. For a more mild flavor, remove jalapeno rib and seeds using a knife or scoop them out with a spoon. For more heat, leave in the rib and seeds. You can also add an extra half or full jalapeno pepper.
Instead of sour cream, you can use plain Greek yogurt as the base of this recipe.
Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Do not freeze this sauce as the texture may change when it's thawed.
