About Christmas Gin Cocktail
This merry and bright Christmas cocktail with gin is festive, refreshing, and bubbly! The beautiful red color, fresh flavors, and bubbles on top of this Christmas cocktail with prosecco and gin call for celebration!
Of course, you can sip a cranberry gin cocktail all year, but it's especially festive to drink in December. I love to sip on this while decorating the tree and watching holiday movies! Plus, it's a fun Christmas cocktail to serve at holiday parties!
Ingredients
- Gin - Gin is floral, herbaceous, and pairs perfectly with tart cranberry juice. My favorite gin to use is Beefeater. For another one of my favorite drinks with gin, try a French gimlet for your next happy hour.
- Cranberry juice - This recipe was created with 100% pure cranberry juice. If you use cranberry juice cocktail, you don't need to add the extra sweetness of the simple syrup.
- Simple syrup - a liquid sweetener. You can buy simple syrup in the store or easily make your own by dissolving one cup of sugar in one cup of hot water on the stove. Add fresh cranberries for a cranberry simple syrup.
- Fresh lime juice - Depending on the size of the lime, you need about one lime squeezed to equal the ½ ounce needed for this recipe.
- Prosecco
Variations
- A Christmas prosecco cocktail is extra festive but, sparkling water or tonic water would be a good substitute.
- I love the classic combination of gin and cranberry, but if you don't have gin, vodka would be a good substitute.
- Get fancy and garnish your drink with sugared cranberries. You can also coat the rim with sugar.
How to Make a Christmas Gin Cocktail
One of my favorite things about this sparkling Christmas prosecco cocktail is how easy it is to make. You can make this Christmas cocktail with prosecco and be back on your couch watching holiday movies in 5 minutes or less.
First, fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Next, add cranberry juice and gin along with simple syrup and freshly squeezed lime juice. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into a cocktail glass.
Finally, pour a couple ounces of prosecco on top of the gin cranberry mixture in the glass. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a sugar rim for an extra treat!

Thank you for sharing your recipes. I see you make your margaritas with frozen limeade as well. So nice n easy. Love it. One question what’s the differences in all the color tequila? Thank you, Patti

Thank you - I'm happy you enjoy my drink recipes! The color differences in tequila indicate how long they have been aged, and each color has a different flavor profile. You can find more about the aging process and different flavor profiles of each in my Cranberry Margarita recipe post under the section "Best Tequila for Margaritas". Cheers!
