Cheers spooky season with a festive Halloween margarita. Make this Midori margarita with edible glitter and a black sugar rim for a creative Halloween tequila cocktail.
To rim the margarita glass, cut a wedge of lime and pour black sugar onto a shallow plate. Moisten the rim with the lime wedge and dip the glass into the plate of black sugar and coat the rim.
In a cocktail shaker, add a couple of ice cubes. Pour in tequila, Midori, triple sec, simple syrup, and lime juice. Add a pinch of edible glitter. Shake until drink is cold and mixed well, about 20 seconds.
Pour into a margarita glass and enjoy!
Notes
You only need a small pinch of edible glitter to make the drink sparkle - a little goes a long way.
Use black sugar sprinkles to rim of the margarita glass.
You can buy simple syrup at the store or make your own by dissolving one cup of sugar in one cup of hot water on the stove.
If you can't find Midori, you can use any melon liqueur in this recipe.
