These air fryer boneless skinless chicken thighs are one of my favorite quick weeknight dinners. Seasoned with smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic, and onion powder, the chicken turns out juicy on the inside with crispy caramelized edges in under 20 minutes. This foolproof air fryer chicken thigh recipe is perfect for an easy dinner the whole family will love.
In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. Drizzle chicken with olive oil and seasoning blend. Rub oil and seasonings into the meat to fully cover all sides of the chicken.
Place chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 380°F for 10-12 minutes depending on the size. Flip halfway though cooking.
Chicken thighs should reach an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove from the air fryer and rest a few minutes before slicing so they stay moist on the inside.
Notes
Preheat the air fryer before cooking so the chicken starts crisping immediately instead of steaming.
Pat the chicken dry before seasoning to help the outside brown and crisp properly.
Arrange chicken thighs in a single layer with space between each piece for the crispiest edges.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep the meat juicy.
Cook time may vary based on the size of the chicken thighs. Use a meat thermometer and cook to 165°F for best results.
