Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans washed and trimmed
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • lemon wedges optional for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  • Add washed and trimmed green beans to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.
  • Place green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to cook in two batches). Cook at 400°F for 8 minutes until crisp tender. Shake the basket half way through cooking.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon on top (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

      •
  • Top green beans with slivered almonds for added crunch.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese for a salty and savory topping.
  • I occasionally like to substitute olive oil for a chili oil or add red pepper flakes for spicy green beans.
  • Storage: once cooled, add leftovers to an air tight container and keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
